Sidecar Software makes small plugins and apps for shop systems and content platforms. Most of them handle one legal requirement for merchants (the German cancellation button, the EU withdrawal button, Saudi and Croatian e-invoicing and fiscalization, EU packaging documentation, US renewal notices); others move a site from an old platform to a new one.

Who we are

Sidecar Software is an independent studio, operated by its founder, Sammy Awad, as a sole proprietor; the terms of sale name the operator.

We build tools for a specific job and stop there. Each product page says what the tool does, what it doesn't do, and what you need before you start.

How we keep the legal wording accurate

We quote the official text. Every requirement page links to the law, regulation or authority notice it relies on, and the labels our tools show (such as “Verträge hier kündigen”) come from that text.

We flag judgment calls. Where the law leaves room, a court has not decided yet or a date depends on acts that are not adopted, we say so instead of choosing for you.

Tool, not legal advice. Our tools help you carry out a requirement; whether and how it applies to your business is for you and your adviser to decide. We don't claim certifications we don't have, and the data in our screenshots is fictional.

Support

Paid editions include email support for the period stated on the product page. Write to support@sidecarsoft.com with your platform and its version, your transaction ID if you bought here, and the exact error text.

Never send passwords, certificates or database backups by email.

GPL, no license keys

Our WordPress and Joomla extensions are licensed under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. There are no license keys and no activation server: a purchase gives you the download, 12 months of updates and email support, and the GPL lets you use the software on as many sites as you like. Apps for Shopify, Wix, BigCommerce and other hosted platforms are installed from the platform's own app store, where their pricing and billing are shown.
